About

Cards ranked by math, not money

We separate ranking math from monetization.

Why most “best card” lists fall short

Many credit-card sites earn affiliate commissions, which can make it hard to know whether a recommendation is genuinely best for your spending or simply the most profitable for the publisher. Without transparent math, the typical reader has no way to tell. That gap routinely costs people $300–$600 per year by steering them toward a card that doesn't match how they actually spend.

Pure math, zero sponsors

We score every card against your actual spending: rewards minus fees, adjusted for point values and caps. The formula is published on our How It Works page.

How we keep card data current

Every card in our database carries a last-verified date and a direct link to the issuer's official terms page. Both appear on each card's detail page above the fold so anyone can cross-check our numbers in one click.

When an issuer updates a fee, bonus, or category rate, we update the affected card and bump its last-verified date. Our calculator pulls from a single canonical card dataset, so the change propagates to every ranking and comparison the moment it's applied — there's no second copy of card data scattered across articles to keep in sync.

  • Source: the issuer's official terms page (linked on every card detail page).
  • Update cadence: we re-verify the active dataset monthly; sign-up bonus changes are caught faster via issuer announcements.
  • Data we collect: annual fee, effective fee after credits, sign-up bonus + spend requirement, reward categories and caps, point valuation, credit-score floor.
  • Spotted something off? Tell us and we'll fix the dataset, not just the article.

Yes, we make money. Here's how.

We earn affiliate commissions when you apply through our links — but rankings never change based on commission. Cards that earn us nothing still rank #1 when the math says so. Full details in our disclosure.
